Very neat, Ann. I just wanted to give you feedback on your lesson, since you asked. Yes, I love that you have included the Essential Questions section. I think that is super important, and I also lie the Workplace Connections. I wonder if you can expand this even more... what if these students aren't at "work"? Are there skills that they will learn which will benefit them regardless of their present situation? Wiggins and McTighe (1998) call these Enduring Understandings. Maybe identify some enduring understands which will inform students ability to go about answering your essential questions.
ReplyDeleteI would also encourage you to implement specific literacy or discussion strategies, hopefully strategies that are aligned to your objectives.
